The letters O.T.O. stand for Ordo Templi Orientis, the Order of Oriental Templars, or Order of the Temple of the East. O.T.O. is dedicated to the high purpose of securing the Liberty of the Individual and his or her advancement in Light, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Power through Beauty, Courage, and Wit, on the Foundation of Universal Brotherhood.

U.S. Grand Lodge is the governing body of O.T.O. in the United States. It is the most populous and active branch of O.T.O., with 44 local bodies in 26 states as of July 2009.

Registration open for Kaaba Colloquium in Los Angeles

Registration is now open for Kaaba Colloquium in Los Angeles, to be held over Memorial Day weekend (May 23-24 2009).

Kaaba Colloquium is a leadership training seminar offered twice each year by U.S. Grand Lodge. Current and aspiring local body officers are encouraged to attend.

New Public Information Officer

U. S. Grand Lodge has a new Public Information Officer, Frater Lux Ad Mundi. He can be reached by email at pio@oto-usa.org; additional contact information is available on the government page.

The Public Information Officer (PIO) coordinates inquiries and requests from representatives of the media and other institutions who are interested in obtaining more information about O.T.O. The PIO also fields information requests from the membership and the general public, and is available to assist local body officers with handling information requests.
